The book "Zoom" by Istvan Banyai was pretty cool. I noticed that the book had no words; it just had pictures. It would start out really small and then zoom out. One example was a picture that looked like it was a sponge, but it turned out to be a rooster. It kept zooming out from there. The book finally zoomed out to be a picture of the earth. Throughout the book I was constantly making different inferences or predictions of what the picture was.
From looking at this book I got a different meaning of what perspective is. It made me realize how much you use perspective every day. Just the other day when I was outside there was a cloud that looked like a lizard. Everyone else thought it looked like a chicken. That is just one example of perspective and how looking at something from a different view or with more information can change your opinion or perspective of something.
In the field of science a person examining cells or atoms would be interested in a close-up perspective or view of something. On the other hand, a person studying space would need a broader perspective. In studying astronomy it will be really important to remember perspective.
